The state capital is Jaipur. Geographical features include the Thar Desert along north-western Rajasthan and the termination of the Ghaggar River near the archaeological ruins at Kalibanga, which are the oldest in the subcontinent discovered so far.
One of the world's oldest mountain ranges, the Aravalli Range, cradles the only hill station of Rajasthan, Mount Abu, and its world-famous Dilwara Temples, a sacred pilgrimage for Jains. Eastern Rajasthan has two national tiger reserves, Ranthambore and Sariska, as well as Keoladeo National Park near Bharatpur, once famous for its bird life.

DAY 01: ARRIVES NEW DELHI
Arrival in New Delhi, Indias Bustling capital.
Afternoon explore the city, which would include QUTAB MINAR, LOTUS BHAI TEMPLE and HUMYUNS TOMB.
Today evening join in for a cocktail and dinner party hosted by the Tour Manager.
DAY 02: New Delhi /MANDAWA
Morning drive to Mandawa. This area is know as SHEKHAVATI and offers a wealth of interest to those in search of the true Rajasthan. Also visit the Bazaars where there are many havelis (traditional houses with interior courtyard) decocted with frescos.
DAY 03: MANDAWA / BIKANER
Morning drive to Bikaner. Bikaner was founded in 1488 and like many Rajasthani cities is surrounded by a high battle mended wall. In the afternoon visit the fort and the palaces.
DAY 04: BIKANER / JAISELMER
This morning travel to Jaiselmer, one of Indias most exotic desert towns. Afternoon free to walk through the cobbled streets and absorb the atmosphere view magnificent houses with their facades carved with yellow sandstone.
DAY 05: JAISELMER
Morning tour visiting the hill top fort, and the Janis temples dating from the 12th century. In the afternoon visit lodruva, one of the former capitals of Rajasthan.
DAY 06: JAISELMER / JODHPUR
Travel by road to Jodhpur, on the edge of the Thar Desert, and en route visit the Hindu & Janis Temple at Osiyan. Rao Jodha founded Jodhpur in 1450, following the capture of the nearby capital of Mandore.
DAY 07: JODHPUR
In the morning visit the massive 15th century fort, which stands on a low range of sandstone hills, and the magnificent Umaid Bhawan Palace.
DAY 08: JODHPUR / ROHET
Drive to Rohet. A 16th Century Rajput Stronghold. In the afternoon take a village safari to glimpse Rohets colorful rural life.
DAY 09: ROHET / KUMBHALGARH
Morning drive to Kumbhalgarh high in the Aravalli Range and visit the temples and palaces of the Kumbhalgarh Fort. Later visit the Janis Temples of Ranakpur.
DAY 10: KUMBHALGARH / UDAIPUR
Continue to the lake of Udaipur the CITY OF DREAMS - often referred to as the most romantic city in India. En route visit the interesting temple of EKLINGJI and WAGDA.
DAY 11: UDAIPUR
Udaipur was founded by Maharana Udai Singh in 1567and is slithery much a traditional Rajput town. This morning visit the Superb Jagdish Temple, which are noted fort sea elephant motif carvings. Also visit the Grand City Palace, which overlooks Pichola Lake and the Garden of Maids of Honor.
DAY 12: UDAIPUR / KOTA
Drive to Kota, visiting en routes the spectacular fort a Chittorgarh continue on to Kota. If time allows visit the Madho Singh Museum, which houses a fine collection of miniature paintings.
DAY 13: KOTA / JAIPUR
Morning Drive to Jaipur, visiting Bundi en route. Founded in 1342 it lies well protected with in the ranges of the Aravalli Hills. Visit the Chatter Mahal, a stunning palace fort.
DAY 14: JAIPUR
Drive outside the city to the Rugged Hills that surround Jaipur to view the AMBER FORT. A Painted Elephant will take you unto the Fort with its huge gateways and pillared pavilions. In the afternoon tour to Jaipur itself and see the Hawa Mahal, City Palace, Jantar Mantra Observatory and Birla Manadir.
DAY 15: JAIPUR / AGRA
Leave for Agar, stopping en route at Fatehpur Sirkis. Built by Akbar around 1570, this is probably the Best-preserved City of all, continue to Agar and visit the Taj Mahal at Sunset.
DAY 16: AGRA / New Delhi
In the morning again visit the immortal TAJ MAHAL, built by Shah Jahan, in the memory of his wife MUMTAZ MAHAL. Also visit the Agar Fort and the Tom of Itmad um - Daulah.
DAY 17: DEPARTURE FROM New Delhi
